Alright so I added in a few pictures into this post. The 1st picture is one that I found online but it was originally black and white. So after I added in some color I thought it looked really cool and that I wanted to use it. The 2nd pic is of my painting closer up and then the 3rd pic is of it farther away. It didn't really turn out as well as I thought because on the flowers and on the butterfly's wings the dots ended up mixing together a little. but I still think that it's awesome. :)
That looks really good. I really like the look of it. I'm not sure that the black outlines of the dots help though. It may have been better to leave them off, but I don't know for sure. Also, with pointillism, I personally think it looks better to have dots everywhere, even the background, but it looks good the way it is. Good job!
ReplyDeleteI like it, I think you did a good job at making your picture actually look like the flower and butterfly. I almost think that it might blend together better if you had a texture on the back though, but maybe that is just me.
ReplyDeleteThis is really cool! I guess the only thing is maybe add more brighter dots to the flower and butterfly just so it stands out a little more. But I really like this its a really good piece!

ReplyDeleteGreat job! It looks just like the reference image. You could make this better by adding some dots in the background, but it looks just fine the way it is!
ReplyDeleteThis is really pretty! I like your reference picture.One thing I would suggest is to create some kind of background even though in the reference picture there isn't one. It would look cool either way!
